FAQ

  1. I don´t know my level of English, can you help me to find out?

Yes, of course. If you are not sure about your level, we can provide a specific level test to help find your level before starting. It will only take about 30 min. and it can provide us valuable information to inform you accurately.

  1. I know my level but I don´t know which course to choose: General English, Conversation, Exam Preparation…?

We can advise you to choose the course that best fits you depending on your needs and level, always dependent on availability. Do not hesitate to ask for our recommendations or advice about which group is best for you, we are here to help.

  1. Are the teachers in United in Languages native?

Yes, all our teachers are native speakers with years of experience teaching EFL.

  1. Can I try a class before I decide to register?

Yes, you can, free of charge and without compromise. Always to be agreed with the management before arriving. We need to make sure there is a space in that class, on that day.

  1. How many students are in class?

There are maximum 8 students per class. GUARANTEED.

  1. How do your courses work?

We organize our courses as “packages”. They are based on the Cambridge Exam calendar in Manchester and more or less they start and finish at the same time. They are usually 10-12 weeks in length, depending on the season. To get an idea: they are usually planned on a Jan-Mar, Mar-Jun, Jun-Aug, Sept-Dec basis.

  1. I don´t understand, what do you mean?

It means that, when you sign up for a course, you do it for the whole course. General English and Conversation Classes (Direct Method) can be more flexible but we prioritize places for those who are interested in completing the whole course. That is how we keep the same teacher and classmates during your course, ALWAYS. From our experience, this is the best and most efficient way to improve the language.

  1. Can I change my timetable depending on my work rota or during the course?

Generally, no, as the groups, even having the same level, have different paces and rhythms. Unless previously agreed with the teachers, you can´t change from one group to another. If you have a problem with your timetable, please talk to us and we will find a solution that works.

  1. I am interested, what are your prices?

Our fixed rate for all our courses is £7 per hour. To find out more about total prices, click here.

  1. What’s included in the price?

We always include the course material (books if necessary) and 1.5 hours of free extra Friday classes. Homework and correction and extra support by mail or telephone outside the class is also provided with each course. To see everything included, click here.

  1. Do you offer any discounts?

Yes, we offer several discounts. Check them here.

  1. Can I pay the price of the course weekly?

Unfortunately, no, you can’t. Once you sign up for a course you have to understand that you are occupying a place that can’t be taken again. If the course value is more than £300, you are allowed to pay in two instalments: 65% of the total amount when registration is made, the remaining 35% in the middle of the course.

  1. I need to go on holidays a couple of weeks in the middle of the course, will I miss the classes?

The hours won’t be recovered, but as specified in the discounts section, you can get a discount for your time off during holidays.

  1. I have to leave the course in the middle of it, can I?

Yes, of course you can, but the total amount of the course still needs to be paid as your place can’t be filled anymore. You will need to pay for the second instalment (if necessary) despite leaving the course. Allowing you to pay in two halves doesn’t mean that you can quit it in the middle of it. If you have already paid for the whole course, the remaining hours are non-refundable. Please note, we will always try to help you find a solution, if you need to leave early.

  1. What can I do if I have a problem or I need to contact you?
